Multilingual Deployment

For the dual language, English and French, Catholic diocese of Pembroke Ontario, we implemented a content managment system with dual languge features. Although it is common to resort to Google machine translation, here we needed something more personal and accurate for the French-speaking community. The solution was to craft a dual language administrative "back-end" feature that would allow any menu or content items to have a parallel in French. That way when a visitor selected their language preference, all content that had equivalencies for that language would display.

What makes this diocesan web site truly unique is its broad feature-set which also allows for a dark and light template in either English or French language editions. That's 4 working graphical user interfaces! that showcase the diversity and creativity of the evangelical mission within the diocese itself.
